CHAMPION COPPER PLUS™ SPARK PLUGS Champion Copper Plus spark plugs have been original equipment on a wide variety of engines for many years. Manufacturers use them extensively in nonautomotive applications, such as lawn and garden and power equipment, although they are no longer specified for many late-model automotive vehicles. These plugs have nickel alloy centers and ground electrodes, with reasonably good wear characteristics. In addition, the extrusion of copper into the center electrode allows for increased conductivity and heat control.
CHAMPION PLATINUM POWER™ SPARK PLUGS Champion Platinum Power spark plugs use a platinum pad welded to a nickel alloy center electrode for long life. The advantage of this design is that platinum has extremely good wear characteristics and can reduce gap growth. The electrodes use our exclusive Heat-Active™ alloy to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads.
CHAMPION DOUBLE PLATINUM POWER™ SPARK PLUGS Champion Double-Platinum Power spark plugs have platinum on both the center and ground electrodes. The center electrode is platinum fine wire that is riveted onto the nickel alloy center electrode. The ground electrode has a platinum pad welded to its surface.
CHAMPION IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS Champion iridium spark plugs offer maximum performance regardless of engine or ignition type. Each plug has an extremely fine-wire iridium center electrode that is "laser-locked" to the center electrode, and a platinum V-trimmed ground electrode to ensure the longest life and greatest erosion resistance. Champion iridium plugs come with our exclusive Heat-Active® alloy to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads.
CHAMPION TRUCK SPARK PLUGS Champion Truck Plug spark plugs specifically for the severe demands that pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles place on spark plugs. The massive center and ground electrodes are 20 percent larger than ordinary spark plugs, providing high conductivity between the gap and more dependable performance than ordinary spark plugs. The electrodes on Champion Truck Plug spark plugs feature the exclusive Heat-Active™ alloy to reach operating temperatures quickly and maintain stable operating temperatures under varying engine loads.
