- Thermosteel™ Engine Repair Compound is resistant to fuels, abrasives and solvents. This water-based, environmentally-safe repair compound contains no asbestos or volatile organic compounds. Engine Repair Compound can be used to repair headers, exhaust systems, crossovers, manifolds, flanges, exhaust parts, catalytic converters, mufflers and much more. Advanced one-part ceramic and metallic-filled paste bonds securely to cast iron, steel, cast aluminum and brass. Can be ground, drilled and tapped after curing at room temperature for 3 to 4 hours. Withstands ultra-high engine heat. Soap and water cleanups. With instructions. Choice of 3 sizes.
