Unmatched Performance with Sport Compact Brakes!
Sport Compact Brakes from JC Whitney enhance safety and performance on and off-road. Brake pads, Brake shoes, Brake rotors and Brake drums are the main components of your Sport Compact Braking System. They help in the smooth running of your Sport Compact and provide you with safe and improved braking, without any squeaks. These Brake components even increase stopping power and control while driving.
Sport Compact Brake Rotors eliminate unbalanced weight and vibrations in the braking system. Brake Hardware kits are pre-packaged sets of all the necessary supporting hardware to facilitate better brake performance and restore your Sport Compact brake system to perform like new! Brake Pads and Brake Shoes maximize stopping performance and extend brake life.
Brake Calipers are non-rotational clamps used in the disc brake system while wheel cylinders are used in drum brake systems and are both vital for good brake action. Except Brake Rotors that are made from hardened steel, all other Sport Compact Brake components are normally made from synthetic material. All these Sport Compact Brakes and Sport Compact Brake parts are available from top brands and also make perfect replacements for old, rusted and damaged Brakes/brake parts.
Types of Sport Compact Brakes
Brake Drums & Rotors
Sport Compact Brake Drums and Brake Rotors are revolving machinery of the Braking system. They are built to remain stable even when subjected to high temperatures of repeated braking. The drills in rotors help in faster initial braking and the slots keep the rotor surface free of pad residue. You can choose from Slotted, Cross-drilled and Diamond Slotted Brake Rotors for your cars and trucks at JC Whitney.
Drilled and Slotted Performance Brake Rotors greatly improve wet-weather braking. They also help maximize air circulation for increased cooling and reduced fade. You can get Diamond Slotted Cut Performance Rotors that come with a series of slots and diamond slots that help wipe the surface of the brake pad to reduce gas build up. These Rotors are designed to cool faster to help prevent warping for increased brake pad safety and reliability.
JC Whitney also stocks Replacement Brake Rotors for cars and trucks, Slotted Brake Rotors for cars and trucks and Cross-Drilled Rotors for cars.
Brake Hardware
Sport Compact Brake Hardware from JC Whitney is designed to help retain brake parts in their original places during the braking process. Drum Brake Hardware Kits come with a variety of parts that restore your Sport Compact’s brake system to perform like new. They include retaining clips, bushings and “O” rings that help maintain consistency and balance in your braking system.. You can also get Caliper Brackets that deliver smooth stopping, promote even pad wear and reduce pulling and pulsation in your Sport Compact brakes.
Brake Pads & Shoes
Sport Compact Brake Pads and Brake Shoes provide safe, easy and noiseless braking. You can go for Severe-Duty Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Sets that can handle extreme temperature and require very less pedal effort to ensure a smooth stop. These Brake Pads not only operate quietly and cleanly, but also are superior to metal-based pads.
Gransport GS-6 Carbon Ceramic Performance Pad Sets are ideal for Cross-Drilled and Slotted Brake Rotors and they help eliminate pad torque and heat separation, which is the major cause of brake failure under severe braking conditions. They are made from top-quality materials and include special carbon ceramic formulations that provide better friction and stopping power for your Sport Compact Brakes.
You can also get Premium Gold Semi-Metallic Brake Pads and Hardware Kits that come with a professional grade, semi-metallic lining for extended service life. They also have a special high temperature moly lube to ensure a safe, quiet and quality performance brake installation. Our huge collection at JC Whitney also includes Performance Brake Pad Sets, Classic Brake Pad Sets, Semi-Metallic Disc Brake Pad Sets, Platinum Disc Brake Pad Sets, Ultra Ceramic Disc Brake Pads and Hardware Kits for Cars and Trucks and High-Performance Brake Pad Sets.
Masters, Calipers, Lines & Wheel Cylinders
JC Whitney also stocks Sport Compact Masters, Calipers, Lines and Wheel Cylinders that help in smooth and safe functioning of the braking system. Braided Stainless Steel Brake Line Kits are available that are used in conjunction with ABS Brakes. They eliminate pedal “chatter” and dramatically reduce stopping distances. These Brake Lines will not expand or become mushy like rubber brake lines and are extremely easy to install.
You can even get rust-resistant Brake Calipers that are made from high-quality zinc for extended service life. Our assortment of Sport Compact Brake Masters, Brake Calipers, Brake Lines and Wheel Cylinders also includes Master Cylinder Covers that make perfect replacements for your Sport Compact’s old, worn or damaged covers.
Installation & Maintenance of Sport Compact Brakes
All JCW Sport Compact Brake components come with DIY installation. You need to get them installed by a mechanic, as it is a major safety issue for you and your vehicle. Never install Sport Compact Brake Pads with lifetime warranty, as these have a harder lining and lead to excessive wear of the more expensive Brake Rotors and Brake Drums.
Get your Sport Compact Brake components inspected annually for service and replacement as they tend to wear with time and factors like heat and friction. Replace Brake hardware, specially worn out Brake Pads and Rotors as further neglect may require replacement of the entire Brake Rotor/Drum. Do not use copper tubing or brass compression fittings to repair your vehicle’s Brake system as this is harmful and illegal. Do not get the Brake Rotors refinished often as this makes them thinner and reduces their life.
Wipe off any Brake dust or road dirt from your Sport Compact Brake calipers periodically and take care not to inhale any dust when working on Brakes especially in old vehicles. Maintain the correct amount of approved Brake Fluid in the Brake-fluid reservoir and the Master Cylinder and check for any possible leaks periodically to avoid brake failure.
